Keeping your email address up to date ensures you can securely access your account, receive verification codes, and manage your login settings.

This article walks you through how to change the email address tied to your Ritten user account.

Important Notes Before You Start

  • You’ll need your current password to make this change.

    • If you do not remember your current password, you should first reset your password.

  • After updating your email, you will be logged out of all devices and will need to sign back in using your new email address and current password.

  • Changing your email will disable any existing SSO login connections (Google, Microsoft, or Yahoo). You’ll need to re-enable SSO after you log back in.

  • You must change your email to an email address that is not in use in any other Ritten account.

How to Change Your Email Address

  1. First, log into Ritten, click on your initials in the bottom right, and select User to navigate to your user profile.

  2. In the Personal Information section, press the Change Email button next to your email address.

  3. You'll then be prompted to enter your current password and the email address that you'd like to change your account to.

  4. You'll then be sent a verification code to this new email address. This is required to confirm that you are the owner of the account.

  5. Once received, enter the verification code in the prompt

  6. Once you enter the correct code, press Change and Logout to confirm the email change.

  7. You’ll then be be logged out of all devices. To get back into your account, you must log back in using your new email address and password.

Notes About SSO

Resetting your email address disables all SSO login connections. After you log back in with your new email and password, you can re-activate SSO through Google, Microsoft, or Yahoo.
