Background:

Many providers have several locations that bill under different facilities. Ritten can accommodate that structure through by allowing you to set up multiple facilities and map them to CollaborateMD.

Claim Fields:

These changes affect the following claim fields:

  • CMS-1500

    • Box 32

    • Box 32a

  • UB-04

    • Box 1

    • Box 2

    • Box 56

Instructions:

  • Under Billing → Providers and Encounters → Facilities, create multiple facilities.

    • CMS-1500

      • Create multiple facilites in CMD

      • Map the CMD ID into the new Ritten facilities

      • Under Clinic Setup → Programs, edit the desired program. Use the “Facility” dropdown to select a facility from the list. If no facility is selected, the default facility will be used.

      • Done! This will set the default facility on the patient object in CMD to populate Box 32 and 32a

    • UB-04

      • Create multiple providers in CMD, one for each facility, even if they are the same person. Assign each one an “office location” that is a facility

      • In Ritten, Under Billing → Providers and Encounters → Providers, add each facility as a rendering provider

      • Under Billing → Providers and Encounters → Integrations, map each facility to the CMD ID of the rendering provider with the correct office address

      • Update billing rules to always use the facility as the rendering provider

      • Done! This will use the rendering provider’s office address to populate Box 1, 2, and 56
