July 2026 Release Notes

July brought meaningful improvements across case management, clinical workflows, scheduling, medications, and billing — helping clinics move faster, stay organized, and deliver more consistent care.

CRM / Case Management

  • Configurable contact relationship types — Clinics can now define, edit, and manage their own contact relationship types (including inverse relationships) from Clinic Setup — no engineering involvement needed.

  • More flexible tag filtering — New OR/AND filter logic on tags allows users narrow case and organization results more precisely when filtering by multiple tags.

Charting / Clinical

  • Conditional encounter forms by payer group — Encounter configurations can now define form sets that apply based on a client's primary payer group, ensuring the right paperwork is presented by default while still allowing manual additions. Learn more

  • Chart Review Panel — The new Chart Review Panel surfaces all pending appointment requests, missing/incomplete required forms, and incomplete client tasks directly in the Client Chart. Learn more

  • Related Clients on Tasks — Tasks can now associated directly with clients with the new Related Client field. Task lists can be sorted and filtered on Related Client as well.

  • "Your Tasks" now shows all assigned tasks — The Home screen's Your Tasks module now includes all tasks assigned to you, tasks you created, and tasks you are watching, along with overdue amounts of each category. This gives staff a complete picture of what's still due and incomplete.

  • More inclusive pronoun options — Added they/he and they/she as new pronoun selections.

  • Change individual encounter title after creation — Individual encounters can now be renamed, so that encounters of the same type can be more distinct from one another in the client chart.

  • Treatment plans: hide uncategorized plans — After enabling Treatment Plan categories, uncategorized plans can be marked inactive to reduce noise within the Treatment Plan Reference form section and other areas of the client chart with past treatment plan data.

  • Encounter workflow accessibility — Improvements to screen reader support across the encounter workflow make key actions (navigation, form actions, signing flows) more accessible.

  • BPS "Generate Answer" button follows form and field instructions — AI-generated BPS summaries now incorporate configured form and field instructions, producing output that better matches each organization's preferred style.

  • Completed Date on Forms — The Form page and the Chart > Form lists now surface the Completed date of the form, which is the date of the final required signature, so that users know when the form was considered complete and to improve chart audibility.

  • Hide overlapping warnings on non-billable / absent encounters — Overlapping encounters will no longer throw warnings if at least one of the encounters has an absent or not billable attendance status in order to reduce false flags.

Medication Administration (MAR)

  • Pharmacy selection directly in Ritten — Clinicians can view and update a client's pharmacies within Ritten, including searching and setting a default pharmacy. Selections sync to and from DoseSpot for enabled clinics.

  • Starting quantity now tracked separately — Medication schedules store the original starting pill count separately from the remaining quantity, giving staff clearer visibility into inventory and compliance.

  • Discontinue eRx Medications in Ritten — Medications prescribed through Dosespot and do not have a MAR schedule can now be discontinued directly in Ritten without opening Dosespot, allowing for more consistent syncing and less of a need to switch between products.

Faxing

  • Rotate & save PDF orientation for Inbound Faxes — Faxes that are received by your facility with the incorrect orientation (upside down or sideways) can now be rotated and saved, so that they can be more readable by your staff.

Billing / RCM

  • Updated Authorization entry — Entering and editing prior authorizations under a client's chart within the Billing > Authorizations, includes a host of improvements such as: auto-populate primary insurance policy, more combinations of CPT codes and modifiers, save Payer contact details, multiple note entries, upload attachments, additional entry statuses, and in-line validation to prevent errors.

  • View a Client's Total Applied Payments — In a client's chart, under Payments tab in the upper right corner, we're now displaying the client's total applied payments to date (this doesn't include insurance payments). This value is also visible on Statements when the Hide Combined Total Balances toggle is off, pulling a sum of all applied payments for the services within the given time period.

  • Remittances payee filter — Added a payee filter to help billers find the right remittances faster.

  • Claims: Send Fax now connected — The Send Fax option in the claim header is fully wired up, enabling teams to initiate faxing directly from claims.

  • A/R Dashboard link updated — The A/R Dashboard button now routes to the correct in-app dashboard.

  • Claim payment details expanded by default — Service-line history in claim payments now starts expanded, making it easier to view remittance details without extra clicks.

  • Admin permissions expanded — The "All Configuration" permission now includes access to Medical and Calendar Configuration tabs.
