Article Overview
When added as fields on forms that require interpretive summaries, Biopsychosocial (BPS) Summary, otherwise known as an interpretive summary, can generate answers based on the contents of the form. This article walks through how users with admin-level permissions can set up BPS summarization and how clinical staff can use it while completing forms.
How to set it up on a form
Step 1. Add the form field.
Users with admin-level permissions can configure a BPS summarization field on forms by navigating to Configurations ➡️ Forms and editing a form.
Once in the form editor, add an interpretive summary free-text field to the form.
You may need to create a custom interpretive summary section if one has not been used before. For details about how to build out forms, check out this article.
Step 2. Enable BPS summarization.
Click the ⚡️ on the form field and select BPS summarization under Choose Chart Intelligence.
Click out of the pop-up window once you've made that selection and save the form.
Using BPS summarization
After filling out the note, select Generate Answer to have Ritten generate a summary of the note contents.
